There is so much content and excitement for players to enjoy right now surrounding Apex Legends such as checking out the tier list for the best characters as well as finding out what the best weapons are. Unfortunately, some players aren’t even able to make use of those guides, though. This is because of a rampant Apex Legends crashing error for users.
EA, the publisher behind Apex Legends, has admitted on several help forums for their crashing game that Apex Legends does not run on a PC using an AMD Phenom Processor. All other fixes for the game are useless if your processor is of this type or older.
The Apex Legends crashing seems, as of right now, to be only affecting players on PC. Though if you are on a console platform and are experiencing it, please let EA and us know. As of right now, we know of a very frequent crashing error that happens to PC players. In this guide, we are going to go over what we know and what you can do about it.
Apex Legends Crashing Error
Like we mentioned, this error seems to be solely on the PC platform. It is happening to many, many users around the world currently. However, the odd thing is that the error won’t officially register in the game so it does not log and send it to publisher EA. That makes the whole situation even worse.

But there does seem to be an explanation for why the Apex Legends crashing keeps happening. Players will be able to download the game and log in but it will crash when typically trying to enter matches. From what we’ve seen from users, there is one common theme: they all have the AMD Phenom line of CPU’s.
It is likely that this is an error that developer Respawn did not know about. As such, the only thing you can do is bring it to its attention. We recommend filling up the forum even more and letting the developer know on Twitter to ensure a fix for this is quickly given.
